BETHEL - The Fairfield County 4-H recently held its Fall Benefit Horse Show at the Cooperative Extension System on Stony Hill Road in Bethel and presented year-end awards in English Equitation, Hunters, Trail, Western and Pleasure.
BETHEL â The Fairfield County 4-H recently held its Fall Benefit Horse Show at the Cooperative Extension System on Stony Hill Road in Bethel and presented year-end awards in English Equitation, Hunters, Trail, Western and Pleasure.
The purpose of the Fall and Spring Benefit Horse Shows is to provide a quality riding experience in a relaxed, fun atmosphere while raising funds for the Fairfield County 4-H program. All proceeds from the shows directly support youth and adult 4-H educational programs.
High-point horse/rider combinations from both shows in certain divisions received year-end awards.
In the Kentucky Hunter Classic Division, it was Laura Griffith and Waterford of Stony Meadows Farm (division sponsored by All The Kingâs Horses in Ridgefield); in the Walk/Trot Division it was Lainey Audet of Sunnybrook Farm in Newtown (sponsored by Sunnybrook Farm); in the Open Beginner Hunter Division it was Kelsey Phillips and Mystery of Newtown (sponsored by Sunnybrook Farm); in the Low Hunter Division it was Samantha Prusak and Spots on Top of Stony Meadow Farm (sponsored by Clearview Farm of Newtown); and in the Western Division Betty Ann Pjura was the adult high-point champion (sponsored by Happy Trails Farm of Danbury); in the Junior Western Walk/Jog Division it was Danielle Pierce of Hollow Hill Farm (sponsored by Fairfield County 4-H); in the Junior Western Division it was Randi Santiso (sponsored by Fairfield County 4-H); and in the Color Horse Division is was Betty Ann Pjura (sponsored by Fairfield County 4-H).
Division awards were presented to Katherine Schmidt of Jingle Bell Farm in the Baby Green Hunter Division, Heidi Fischer and Just a Touch of Shiek of Better Days Farm in the Pleasure and Adult Hunter Divisions.
Year-end awards sponsored by Fairfield County 4-H and all divisions awards were donated by the Clothes Horse in New Jersey.
