Job Well Done On ‘Still Newtown’ Podcast
To the Editor:
I just wanted to applaud the work done on the WSHU Public Radio/Newtown Bee podcast series “Still Newtown.” It is thoughtful and addresses the aftermath of the tragedy in the community with care and respect.
I’m from Newtown, currently reside in Colorado, but my parents are still there and I spend typically 5-6 weeks in town every year reconnecting with the community that raised me.
The day of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting I wrote a letter to the editor of my local paper here in Colorado to get some of the thoughts and feelings I was having off my chest.
The purpose of my reaching out is more or less to say that Newtown is everywhere and with each tragedy in new communities, there are people like us from Newtown that can relate and understand the road to recovery.
Job well done on the podcast. I’m an avid Newtown Bee follower and will be forever. Thanks for your efforts in telling the world our community’s story.
