Creative Writing Class Being Offered
The Booth Library Creative Writing Group for Young Adults will offer a session on writing fiction this winter, led by teacher, author and Newtown resident Wally Wood.
The libraryâs adult writer volunteers will continue to offer assistance. All sessions allow time for writing and sharing short stories in progress, as well as one-on-one communication between adults and young people.
The group will meet from 6 to 8 pm on five consecutive Monday evenings, January 8 through February 26, at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street. Class will not meet on Monday, January 15.
There is a limit of ten students in grades six through eight. Participants are expected to attend all five sessions, offered at no cost, and preference is given to Newtown residents.
For more information, call Margaret Brown, young adult librarian, at 426-4533, or sign up at the main floor desk of the library.
