Reinstatement To X Is Cruel And Disheartening
To the Editor:
I am writing the week of the 11th anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy. I read in today’s newspaper that Elon Musk personally reinstated right wing provocateur and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to “X” (formerly Twitter). To reinstate this guy the week of the Sandy Hook anniversary, is outrageous. Jones has personally denigrated all Newtowners, by suggesting that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax. He has spread horrific lies regarding 12/14 (including that actors were used as part of cover-up), and continues to spread conspiracy theorist lies about 12/14. Jones is very wealthy, popular among some “conservatives,” and with a “cult-like” following. He is responsible for the spreading of lies, personal attacks, venom via social media platforms. Sound familiar? But this reinstatement, on the week of remembrance of 12/14, is both cruel and disheartening. Our community continues to recover, and Jones was found guilty in a court of law, and assessed a huge fine to be paid to families of the victims. Musk, by his reinstatement of Jones, has imposed another layer of cruelty, not only on the families, but on our community as well. Reinstating Jones to “X,” and supporting his ability to ignore truths, and spread lies, is a direct slap in the face to the families of murdered children, and to all of us in the greater Newtown community.
You now must remember that by owning a Tesla electric vehicle, and by using “X” and being exposed to advertisers on “X,” that you are indirectly supporting the extreme decisions of both Musk and the provocateur and conspiracy theorist (aka “Liar”) Alex Jones. Sell your Tesla or buy a different electric vehicle and stop using and supporting “X.” Never give Jones any online “traffic” from you. Money talks, so deny them your money. Be actively supporting truth and not lies! That should be the case with any provocateur or conspiracy theorist that you might be exposed to, especially in an election cycle!
Sincerely,
Richard English

Agreed, Mr Musk has it all wrong.
