Georgia Ann (Stefanik) Streck, 81, of Plymouth, formerly of Monroe, died peacefully with her family by her side on December 12. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Streck. She was born in Bridgeport on October 22, 1935, and resided in Monroe for 52 years.

Mrs Streck worked most of her life at Dupont Sorvall in Newtown and spent her last few years at Cook Willow Nursing Home in Plymouth.

Her sons, Mark Streck and his wife, Betsy, of Newtown and Jeff Streck of Phoenix, Ariz.; her grandchildren, Christie Mello, Kerri Filek, Courtney Mello, Jennifer Starnes, Derek Streck, and Haley Streck; and her two great-grandchildren survive her. Her husband and her daughter, Sharon, predeceased her.

Calling hours will be at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Friday, December 16, between  4 and 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 17, at 10 am, at the Honan Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery on Route 25 in Newtown.
