Snow Removal Needed For

Fire Safety

Fire Marshal Bill Halstead is asking residents and business owners to help make the town a safer place in the event of wintertime fires.

Mr Halstead asks that people who have a fire hydrant, a dry hydrant, or an underground fire suppression water tank at their businesses or residences to provide clear access to it by shoveling out or plowing out snow in those areas.

Also, at businesses, second exits and stair exits must be cleared of snow and ice in order to provide clear passage in those areas, according to Mr Halstead.
