Michael Bucks Farbish

Artist And Writer Loved Nature

Michael Bucks Farbish, 51, died December 8 in Meriden after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. He was born March 9, 1956, in Norristown, Penn. He graduated from Newtown High School in 1974 and then attended Rhode Island School of Design.

Mr Farbish is survived by his father, Alfred; his brother, Peter; his sister-in-law, Kerry; and his nephew, Nathan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita.

He is remembered as an accomplished artist and writer, a naturalist who enjoyed hiking and camping, and a truly free spirit. As a senior in high school, Mr Farbish starred in his senior class play, called The Bird and the Bee, playing the part of the bird. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

A graveside memorial service was held December 10 in Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich. Arrangements were by Leo P. Gallagher & Sons Funeral Home in Greenwich.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Audubon Society of Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich CT 06831.
