Good Neighbors
Good Neighbors
To the Editor:
We are writing to thank some good neighbors who helped us during the recent snowstorm on December 7.
Last Friday I was driving along Route 6 with my two children, after picking my husband up after he had surgery, when we ran into serious traffic congestion.
The plan was to stop at CVS, pick up pain medication and go straight home, but after waiting in traffic for hours, we slid off the road on Taunton Hill and were stuck on a hill halfway off the road. We were all scared, not knowing how long we would have to wait out in the cold in a dangerous situation with our children.
We are grateful to Renee Byrne for taking us to her house and making us feel welcome. We are also grateful to Ed Vignone, who not only drove the whole family to Reneeâs house, but also took my husband to the CVS to pick up his pain meds.
We are also thankful for our neighbor Heather Danuszar who picked me up from Reneeâs after the roads cleared and then, the next morning, drove me to pick up my car, which had been towed. We couldnât ask for a better neighbor and friend. Thank you to her daughter, Morgan, too, for watching our two little boys while we were picking up my car.
We are touched by everyoneâs generosity and the willingness to help us out of what could have been a disastrous situation.
Sincerely,
Jennifer and Terence Nelan
