âFlying Deathâ Author To Visit Mattatuck Museum
WATERBURY â The Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center will host a talk by Samuel K. Beamon, the author of Flying Death on Saturday, December 15, at 2 pm, in the Munger Room.
Mr Beamon, a Waterbury native and retired Waterbury Police Department Lieutenant, and head of the Juvenile Division, recently published this memoir about his wartime experience in Vietnam. Flying Death was written from Mr Beamonâs perspective as a crew chief of a combat helicopter during the Vietnam conflict.
The public is invited to attend this talk, meet the author, and hear him share his memories about this wartime experience. There is no charge for the program.
The Mattatuck Museum is at 144 West Main Street, and there is free parking behind the museum on Park Place.
