Billy Steers Exhibit To Open

With Family Program, Public Reception

ROXBURY — “Art on the Fly: Constant Creation,” an exhibit of children’s book illustrations, watercolors, sketches and drawings by Roxbury resident Billy Steers, is on view at Minor Memorial Library until Monday, January 7.

Mr Steers is a pilot with American Airlines. He is also a favorite children’s author and illustrator. His Tractor Mac books, with their colorful, detailed illustrations and delightful stories, are popular with children and adults alike.

The library show features a variety of Mr Steers’ creations, including original Tractor Mac watercolors, sketches made on flight plans, napkins and coasters, and numerous other drawings and illustrations.

The library is at 23 South Street, and is handicapped accessible

“Art on the Fly” can be enjoyed during the library’s regular hours: Mondays from noon to 7 pm, Wednesdays from 10 am to 7 pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.
