Ethel L. Swanson, 90, died December 8 at her home in Easton. She was the widow of Donald Swanson. A daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Terhes Laskay, she was born and raised on the family farm in Easton and lived most of her life in Easton.The Newtown Bee         December 9, 2016

She was a graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport in 1944.

Two sons, Glen Swanson of Sandy Hook and Jeff Swanson of Easton; and her sister, Dorothy D'Amato of Easton, survive Mrs Swanson. Her brothers Charles Laskay, J, and Anthony Laskay; and sisters Grace Laskay, Margaret Laskay, and Lillian Kocsis predeceased her.

Mrs Swanson will be remembered for her quick wit and good sense.

Burial will be at 2 pm, Monday, December 12, at Union Cemetery, Easton.
