The cable television program Unity in Diversity can be viewed on Charter CommunityVision Channel 192  each Monday at 12:30 pm and Wednesday at 5:30 pm.

The program features interviews with prominent pastors, rabbis, imams, and other spiritual leaders of a variety of local faith communities. Viewers have an opportunity to learn more about Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Bahá’í, Unitarianism, or one of the many Christian communities, all in a nonthreatening manner.

The host of this series is the Reverend Leo McIlrath, Dmin, coordinator of the Corpus Connecticut Community and ecumenical chaplain to The Lutheran Home of Southbury.

The program for December 15 and 17, The Bahai Community of Newtown; December 22 and 24, “The Sacraments,” with Dr Cathy Chesto; and December 29 and 31, Captain Moore, The Salvation Army.

Also, January 5 and 7, Reverend Tim Crowley, Pastor, Central Christian Church; January 12 and 14, Buddhism with Ocean of Wisdom, Sakya; January 19 and 21, The Christian Unity Service of Greater Danbury; and January 26 and 28, Reverend Gregory Wismar, former pastor, Christ the King Lutheran Church, Newtown.
