As students in the Reed Intermediate School Interact Club, why do you volunteer to give back to the community?

Lukas Palumbo: I do it because I realize how lucky I am. And I want other people to be as fortunate as I am.

Mason Melillo: I notice how people in the world are poor, and they live in the streets. I see that other people, like me and my friends, are lucky. So I want to help them out so they can be like me and my friends.

Dillon Palumbo: Because a lot of people are really poor in the world, and we don’t realize that until we do stuff like this to help them.

Jessie Coughlin: It feels good to help those in need.

Kelly Coughlin: It’s nice to think that our effort goes to people all around the world.

Emily Jerris: To know that I’m helping people who can’t do as much as we can, and that we can help them if we try.
