Artistic Expression Recognized At Reed Reflection Program

Reed Intermediate School students were recognized recently for their artistic expression in a Reed PTA-sponsored Reflections Program. Students created works of art for fun for the program based around this year’s theme of “WOW.” The program had five categories for art: Literature, Visual Art, Video Production, Photography, and Musical Composition.

Fifth grade first place winners were Samantha Lotko for Visual Arts, Chance McMahon for Video Production, Brendan Gregory for Musical Composition, Sarah Carter for Literature, and Victoria Kroha for Photography. Sixth grade first place winners were Alexa Purcell for Visual Arts, Emily Riley for Video Production, Catherine Menousek for Photography, Emma Hungaski for Literature, and Miranda Wakeman for Musical Composition.

All first place winning entries will go on to be judged at the Connecticut State PTA level.
