John J. Addessi of Danbury, previously of Newtown, husband of the late Ruth (Michels) Addessi, died at Danbury Hospital, December 3. He was born in Danbury, January 4, 1919.
Mr Addessi was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He owned and operated Addessi Wrecking in Danbury for more than 30 years. He was a parishioner of St Joseph Church in Danbury.
A devoted brother, he will be sadly missed by his three sisters, Angeline Perrett and Katherine Day, both of Danbury, and Rita Nickerson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; as well as several nieces and nephews. His sister, Marie Attanasio, predeceased him.
Funeral services were held December 9. Full military honors followed Mass, with cremation and interment in St Peter Cemetery to take place at the direction of the family
