To the Editor:

Should I have been surprised by the statement in Stephen Sanetti's letter “NSSF On The Leno Cancellation” – “...nor are we unfamiliar with the bullying political tactics of the gun control groups....” Is that not the pot calling the kettle black?!

I'm not sure how you get up every morning and look yourself in the mirror Mr. Sanetti. What is for sure from the contempt in your statement and your letter is the warped and twisted sense of reality you and your organization exist in.

In a country where more than 90 percent of Americans, 87 percent of gun owners, and 74 percent of NRA members believe all gun purchases should be subjected to background checks (Americans, even NRA members, want gun reforms, CNN.com 2/1/2013), why is it Congress can't pass any law improving gun safety? You know the answer to that, as does everyone else – the strong arm and bullying tactics of the gun lobby!

So please, spare us your indignation. If money can't buy your organization entertainers the way it buys our politicians, then at least we know Hollywood has a moral conscience and a spine; two things that are clearly lacking in Washington because of the bullying tactics of you and your compatriots.
