*The Palace in Danbury has a couple of “Musical Monday” events coming up next month, but I noticed something musical next Monday that’s just as relevant: Sandy Hook resident and musician DARRYL GREGORY will be providing the music during a Networking Plus Fairfield County event.

On Monday, December 13, from 6 to 9 pm, NPFC will host what they’re calling an “‘outside the box’ meetup for people to first meet and develop relationships.” Networking is encouraged, of course, but organizers are saying “You can bring your business cards, but don’t take them out of your pocket unless the person you are getting to know asks for it. It will make you a better person and you will develop better business relationships as a result.”

Cost is $10 for the event, which will include the music by Darryl. Reservations are requested and need to be done through NPFC; tickets will not be available at the box office Monday night. Contact Jon Landers at 203-648-9921 or jon@thecreativegrp.com for details. The theater is at 165 Main Street.

Meanwhile, Darryl is hosting a house concert in his home this weekend. Check out the Enjoy calendar page for details on that event, which sounds like a great way to spend a cold Saturday evening.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.

Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141. Shows listed at clubs are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
