To The Holiday Festival
To the Editor:
On December 5, Newtown Youth & Family Services staged its 25th Annual Holiday Festival. As festival chairperson, one of my favorite tasks is writing this thank you letter to all the people who helped make the festival such a success:
To Newtown Savings Bank, as our title sponsor, thank you for your support this year and all the preceding years, not only for your level of financial support but for the participation of your people, most particularly with the Victorian Tea.
To our other sponsors â Taunton Press; Union Savings Bank; DaSilva Law Firm, and Webster Bank for their contributions. To all those other individuals and businesses too numerous to list here who gave money or donated items and services needed to produce the festival.
To the staff of Edmond Town Hall and C.H. Booth Library for graciously allowing us the use of the facilities and for your constant help when problems occur.
To the homeowners of this yearâs tour homes and to those area decorators who worked their magic on them.
To the Holiday Festival Committee, especially to Cyndy DaSilva and Denise Tramposch, House Tours; Jennifer Johnston, Ballet; Maureen Birden and Carol Mahoney, Victorian Tea; and Denise Rodriguez, Festival of Trees and general festival co-chair .
To the staff of Newtown Youth & Family Services and to its board of directors, who worked cheerfully and tirelessly to produce this event.
And finally, many thanks to all those Newtowners and other visitors who came and enjoyed a wonderful winter day with us!
Sincerely,
Layne Lescault
Festival Chairperson
