Loving Mother, Sister, And Grandmother

Jane Evelyn May, 81, of Brookfield, died December 3, at Brookfield Commons. She was born October 10, 1929, in Bridgeport, a daughter of Ethel (Thompson) and Miles House. She was the wife of the late William May.

Mrs May is survived by her loving family, including Lisa May of Sandy Hook, Jocelyn May and her husband, Raymond Neville, and grandson, Sean. In addition she is survived by her loving brother, Edward House, and his wife Eleanor, of Newtown; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She loved to play gin rummy and before her husband’s death, they loved to work on the New York Times crossword puzzles together.

The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care provided by her aide, Leslie Quaye, of Waterbury.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Thursday, December 9, from 6 to 8 pm.
