Holiday Hours
We will be closed Friday through Sunday, December 24-26, for the Christmas weekend. We will reopen with regular hours on Monday, December 27.
We will then be closed again Friday through Sunday, December 31 to January 2, reopening on Monday, January 3.
Happy Holidays to all of our patrons. We wish you a happy and peaceful season, and hopefully a little time to curl up by the fire with a favorite book.
Chocolate                         For The Holidays
*The library is selling Book Loverâs and Wine Loverâs Chocolate in a variety of flavors for $6 a box.
All proceeds benefit the library.
Childrenâs Programs
*Taking A Break: The Mother Goose on the Loose and Mother Goose II programs are taking a holiday break for the next few weeks.
Mother Goose on the Loose will resume on Wednesday, January 12, at 10 am.
Mother Goose II will be back the following day, also at 10 am.
Adult Programs
*Magazine Launch Party: Please join us for the official launch and cocktail reception for The Newtowner, Newtownâs brand-new own arts and literary magazine, on Saturday, December 11, from 6 to 9 pm.
Meet the first issueâs featured poets, authors and artists. Get your collectorâs first edition autographed, and enjoy gourmet refreshments while mingling with Newtownâs established and upcoming literati.
Space is limited, so we do need reservations; visit our website or call the main desk.
*Book Groups: The Daytime Book Group will be discussing The Help by Katherine Stockett on Tuesday, December 14, at 1 pm.
*Job Search Help: Cheryl Schwartz will provide job search help, with a focus on the resume, on Thursday, January 6, from 3 to 4:30 pm. The program is free but space is limited so please register online.
