Six Hawley School students were recently selected to represent the school at the state level of the National PTA Reflections Program, a nationwide kindergarten through twelfth grade cultural arts program. Judging was based on artistic merit, creativity, and interpretation of the theme, âTogether We Can...â
Nearly 20 participants were divided into two age-based groups: primary, grades kindergarten through second; and intermediate, grades three and four. Entries were accepted into six different categories: literature, visual arts, photography, music composition, dance choreography, and film/video.
The following students and artwork will advance to the Connecticut PTA, for state level judging: Caroline Gardner, visual arts; Madison Hintze, literature; Paige Farley, photography; Brennan Mayer, visual arts; Casey Sullivan, literature; and Carli Carpenter, photography.
