Erin & Jonathan Gelman

Erin Leigh Kostecki and Jonathan Michael Gelman were united in marriage by Minister Claudio Priolo and Rabbi Ronald Broden on July 10, 2010. The ceremony was held at Newtown Meeting House, and the reception was celebrated at The Surf Club in New Rochelle, N.Y.

The bride, the daughter of Doreen and Daniel Kostecki of Sandy Hook, was given away by her father.

On her wedding day, Erin chose a sweetheart strapless silk satin dress in ivory from the Jim Hjelm collection. She carried a bouquet of Picasso calla lilies, dark purple calla lilies, dendrobium orchids, and stephanotis.

Her maid of honor was her friend Sara Daniels of Sandy Hook. She wore a charmeuse plum keyhole neckline long dress and carried a bouquet featuring Picasso calla lilies, dark purple calla lilies, and dendrobium orchids.

The bridesmaids were Ashley Parker and Danielle Parker of South Windsor; Jessica Snow of New York City; Tracy Scovotti of Eastchester, N.Y.; and Kate Barnes of Scarsdale, N.Y. Their dresses and flowers mirrored that of the maid of honor.

Jonathan is the son of Maks and Anna Gelman of Queens, N.Y.

His best man was David Gelman of Brooklyn, N.Y. Groomsmen were John Kostecki and Jason Kostecki of Sandy Hook; Michael Ciampanelli of Scarsdale, N.Y.; Stephen Scovotti of Eastchester, N.Y.; and James Grandefeld of Hartsdale, N.Y.

Caitlin Gay, cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl and Andrew and Mitchell Gelman, twin nephews of the groom, were the ring bearers.

Erin is a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School, and a 2005 graduate of New York University, where she earned a bachelor’s of science in marketing and finance. She graduated magna cum laude.

She is currently a merchandising associate at Avon Products in New York City.

Jonathan is a 2000 graduate of Eastchester High School in Eastchester, N.Y., and a 2004 graduate of Colgate University with a bachelor’s of arts in economics and history. He was a member of the Colgate varsity soccer team.

He is currently working as an assistant vice president at JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City, N.J.

Following a honeymoon trip to Greece, where they traveled to Crete, Santorini, Paros, and Mykonos, the Gelmans have returned to their home in Hoboken, N.J.
