As the number of Newtown Bee Facebook followers approached 2,000, The Bee announced both in print and online that once the newspaper’s Facebook page reached that milestone, we would hold a random drawing of all our followers for a free one-year subscription to our print edition.

The Bee’s Facebook page reached that number by the evening of  Monday, December 6, and the follow morning, with the help of a random number generator, resident John Bragoli was selected as the winner. Mr Bragoli was the 664th person to sign up to follow The Newtown Bee on Facebook, and we thank him and all our Facebook followers for making our page a fun place to be connected to the community.
