State Police Seek Christmas Gifts For Veterans

State police at the Troop A barracks in Southbury are conducting a “Secret Santa Holiday Gift Drive” for the 166 military veterans who live at the state veterans home in Rocky Hill.

State police are asking the public to donate gifts to the project.

Gifts may be dropped off at the barracks. The barracks is located at 90 Lakeside Road, just off Exit 14 of Interstate 84. The gift collection project  runs until December 18. The barracks is open around the clock. The telephone number is 203-267-2200.

Suitable gifts include craft kits, videos, radios, Walkman devices, gift certificates, telephone calling cards, and new clothing, such as jeans, sweatshirts, and UConn-related garb.
