Despite a lot of first–place finishes and otherwise strong swimming performances, the Newtown Torpedoes dropped their first meet of the 2004-05 age group swim season – a pretty tight one to rival New Milford.

The Torpedoes’ effort was highlighted by their sweep of the girls’ 8-and-under 25 breaststroke and 50 freestyle and by the performance of the boys’ 11-and-12 200 freestyle relay.

The Torpedoes dropped to 2-1 on the year.
