CT Master Chorale Announces Openings
The Connecticut Master Chorale has openings for an alto, tenor and bass starting in January for its upcoming spring season.
CMCâs founder and director is Tina Johns Heidrich.
The chorale will present two new works by John Rutter â Mass of the Children and âFeel the Spiritââ in March. In May, the chorale will perform music of great Russian composers featuring Polovetzian Dances, plus Russian sacred and folk songs.
Both concerts will be held at St Rose of Lima in Newtown and will be accompanied by The Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 at South Britain Congregational Church parish house, on Route 172 (next to South Britain General Store), about one mile from I-84 Exit 14.
Connecticut Master Chorale, now in its sixth season, is a premiere ensemble of 55 auditioned, highly gifted, select singers in the Western Connecticut area. The group performs three concerts per season â one holiday and two masterwork concerts in the spring with The Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra. The group has also performed at The White House, West Point Military Academy, Carnegie Hall, and Madison Square Garden, all by invitation.
Interested singers can contact Ms Heidrich at 775-2602 to schedule an appointment. More information about CMC can be found at www.CMChorale.org.
