Alfred W.        Winspur
Alfred W. Winspur, 83, husband of Irene (Chacko) Winspur, formerly of Mt Nebo Road, Newtown, died December 4 in Ashlar of Newtown.
He was born in Westport March 15, 1921, son of the late Alfred W. Winspur and Ellen (McGuire) Winspur. A carpenter by trade, he was a member of the Carpenterâs Union in Bridgeport.
Mr Winspur was a veteran of World War II, US Army. He served with the 3rd Army Infantry in Germany.
He is survived besides his wife by one sister, Virginia Mackro of Newtown; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Lydem and her husband David Lydem of Newtown; and two grandchildren, Debra Holmes and Jaclyn Krikorian, both of Newtown. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Lily, Hana, and Eli Holmes, and Taylor and Payten Krikorian.
He was predeceased by a brother, Matthew Winspur, and two sons, Alfred W. Winspur III and William A. Winspur.
Funeral Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
