Mingo Lewis Returning To The Pig

Renowned percussionist Mingo Lewis will perform Friday evening, December 9, at The One-Eyed Pig, 71 South Main Street, with his band, Room of Voices. The music starts at 9:30 pm, and there is no cover charge.

One-Eyed Pig Music Coordinator Jay Daly said, “[Mr Lewis] insists he will have you on your feet and dancing.”

Mr Lewis described his sound as rock, funk, and reggae. He has played with Santana, James Brown, Chick Corea, Kool and the Gang, Billy Joel, and more. Sitting in with the band is local bassist Steve Clarke.

Also starting at The One-Eyed Pig on December 9 is a new music feature, Acoustic Fridays. The restaurant and bar will be hosting acoustic entertainment from 5 to 8 pm each week. Performer Casey Gorman of Hubinger Street and The Wagon Wheel Band will open the series.
