‘Deck The Halls’ With CCS Chamber Singers

ROXBURY — The Friends of the Roxbury Senior Center invite the public to join them for “Deck the Halls,” a holiday concert featuring the Connecticut Choral Society Chamber Singers on Sunday, December 18, at 3 pm. This musical event will be held at Roxbury Town Hall, 29 North Street.

The program will feature traditional holiday music, Hanukkah music, Christmas carols and a sing-along.

The Connecticut Choral Society, established in 1980, is an ensemble of auditioned singers from more than 20 Connecticut towns.

The Chamber Singers, under the direction of Bonnie Stephens, is an a cappella group formed in 1988 whose repertoire includes classic, contemporary, sacred, holiday, and folk music.

The group performs regularly at holiday festivals and at special events throughout the year including benefit concerts, cultural arts programs, school assemblies, business meetings, and other gatherings broadening the base of the Choral Society and bringing music to places and opportunities not for the larger chorus.

Tickets for December 18 in Roxbury may be purchased in advance for $15 or $20 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Roxbury Senior Center.

Seating is limited and light refreshments will be served following the concert.
