St Rose ‘Warms The World’

St Rose School’s students celebrated a beautiful and meaningful Thanksgiving Mass on November 30.

The Student Council and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) joined forces to recognize Homeless Awareness Week with a “Warming the World” campaign, a drive to collect used coats, gloves, mittens, hats, and blankets for homeless children and adults in Fairfield County.

These items were delivered to the Sisters of Charity in Bridgeport after the Thanksgiving Mass.

Prior to the mass, representatives from the Student Council and NJHS set up cardboard homes and stayed in them to understand fully the way so many homeless people live on a daily basis.

St Rose’s first graders sponsored the mass and lead attendees in prayer, readings, and songs of Thanksgiving.
