Mr and Mrs Daniel R. Gaita

Erin O’Meara, Bethel, daughter of Mr and Mrs William O’Meara of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Daniel R. Gaita, formerly of Newtown, son of Linda Gaita of Newtown and Vincent Gaita of Westport, were joined in marriage on June 26 at The Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Pastor Dick Dill officiated.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Meghan Houtistad, Brookfield, was maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Suzanne Palaez, New York City, Kelly O’Meara, Philadelphia, Brady O’Meara, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Kim Gaita, Danbury. Jessica Gaita, Danbury, was the flower girl.

Best man was Timothy Mallette, New York City. Ronel Jumpp, Florida, Lenny Gaita, Danbury, Kevin O’Meara, Waterbury, Mario DeVivo, Newtown, and Gus Athanasiou, Wilton, served as ushers. The ring bearer was Len Gaita, Danbury. Nathalie Laviviere of the Sandy Hook barbershop styled the groom’s hair.

A wedding reception was held at The Aqua Turf Club following the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor of arts in psychology. She is employed as an executive assistant by Richard C. Breeden Co.

The groom is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University, where he received a bachelor of arts in psychology and of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, where he received a master’s degree in organizational leadership. He is a self-employed health and fitness consultant and fundraising consultant for Great American Opportunities.

Following a wedding trip to St Lucia, the couple is making their home in Bethel.
