Calling all âtween and teen authors! The Booth Library Creative Writing Group for Young Adults will offer the study of fiction writing this winter.
The group will be led by Wally Wood, teacher, author, and Newtown resident, with continuing assistance from the libraryâs adult writer volunteers. All sessions will allow time for writing and sharing short stories in progress as well as one on one communication between adults and young people.
The group will meet from 6 to 8 pm on five consecutive Monday evenings from January 9 through February 13. There will be no class on January 16.
There is a limit of ten students in grades 6 and up. There is no fee for the workshop. Participants are expected to attend all five sessions and preference is given to Newtown residents.
