Continuing Education Courses

Space is still available for the following Newtown Continuing Education courses being offered at Newtown High School:

“Typing it all together: How your Microsoft programs work with each other,” presented on Thursday, December 15, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, by Mike Ingber. This one night presentation demonstrates how Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint interact with one another. The cost for this course is $39.

“Ballroom Dancing.” Learn the Fox Trot, Waltz, Cha Cha. These dances are taught by Joseph and Nonnie Williams who have been dancing together for 21 years and teaching for the past five years. Have fun while you learn to dance. Courses take place every Thursday evening from 7 to 8 pm beginning on January 5. This is a three-course workshop. The fee for the course is $45 per person or $89 per couple.

“Sugar Blues,” a one night course designed to help ward off sugar cravings, is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, from 7 to 8:30 pm. Are you suffering from the sugar blues? If you are constantly craving sweets and want to understand why, or if you want to gain control over any craving without willpower or deprivation, this presentation will set you on the right track. The cost for the course is $27.
