A Fragrant Welcome At Booth Library
Happy little elves - who looked very much like members of Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown - snuck into C.H. Booth Library a few hours before it opened to the public on December 1, and created a gift for staff and patrons alike. The women set up and decorated a fragrant tree, covered with cinnamon, clove, and cinnamon-scented hemlock cones; ornaments handmade with cinnamon-applesauce dough; and sachets of cinnamon and cloves. The tree is not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the nose, thanks to the natural scents greeting anyone in the area of the main circulation desk.ÃÂ ÃÂ
A look at one of the ornaments created from cinnamon-applesauce dough. Garden club members also filled small sachets and hung scented pinecones on the fragrant tree they decorated at the town library last week.
