Garden Club Greens Sale

On December 2 the Garden Club of Newtown held its annual greens sale displaying wreaths and evergreen garlands, and arrangements in vases for the hearth or front stoop. Garden Club member Debby Osborne greeted guests as they entered the sale held at the Newtown Meeting House to make their selections during the club’s fundraiser.

“Our biggest donation goes toward the Newtown Scholarship Association,” Ms Osborne said. Also at the sale was local author Sydney Eddison, who signed copies of her book, The Gardener’s Palette. She also had The Gardener’s Color Wheel on display. The wheel accompanies the subject of her book, she explained.
