Owners/Manager: Daniel L. Granucci, CFA, CFP
How long have you been in business?
I started in 2004 and found some success working for larger and more rigid firms. But I wanted to offer my clients a less rigid environment — combined with some top-tier, user-friendly technology to help them achieve their goals. In many cases it’s a lot less expensive than a traditional Wall Street bank. I’m originally from Connecticut, and previously worked in Hartford, Stamford, and Greenwich. After my wife and I got married and had our first child, we moved to Sandy Hook.
What services does your firm offer?
After spending 15 years helping baby boomers to retire, I decided to expand to assisting younger professionals and their families. Financial planning should be approachable for anybody. For younger people, we can typically change the path of their financial lives with a few short hours of planning. On the other end of the spectrum, we can assist a business owner with substantial assets and complexities with a much more detailed plan to reduce taxes, build cash flow efficiencies, and manage risks. There’s a solution for almost anybody if you are willing to look outside some of the more conventional ways of doing business. Depending on client needs, I offer hourly rates, flat fees, or more conventionally structured asset management.
What would you like Bee readers to know about your business?
The name “Iron Path” came from a challenging hike Dan and his wife completed on their honeymoon. They were able to complete a climb that would have been dangerous and almost impossible with the help of a Via Ferrata which translates from Italian to English as “Iron Path.” The series of iron rungs, ladders, and bars that were drilled into the rock face allowed them to reach the top safely.
