Richard A. DelGais
Richard A. DelGais, 68, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Holly Reinhardt DelGais, died peacefully December 4 at his home. Born and raised in Bridgeport, he was a son of Nellie D’Eramo DelGais of Bridgeport and the late Gennaro DelGais.
In addition to his mother, survivors include three loving daughters, Michelle Garrity, and her husband Brian, of Sandy Hook, Bethany Eastman of Wallingford, and Nicole DelGais Concepcion, and her husband Will, of Stratford; five cherished and adored grandchildren, Ashleigh, Aidan, and Kieran Garrity, and Hunter and Quinn Eastman; a brother, Michael DelGais, and his wife Elaine, of Monroe; a sister, Donna Chop of Oxford; as well as four nephews whom he loved very much. He also leaves to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His brother-in-law, Robert Chop, predeceased Mr DelGais.
He was a retired plumber, having worked for Forger-Kunkel Plumbing and Heating for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time tending to his home and yard. But above all he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday, December 9, from 4 to 8 pm, at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Funeral services will take place Thursday, December 10, at 11 am, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount St Peter Cemetery, Derby.
