Wine Deliveries Require Adult Signature
Wine Deliveries Require Adult Signature
HARTFORD â With the holiday season in full swing, Consumer Protection Commissioner Jerry Farrell, Jr, is reminding Connecticut residents that wine deliveries from transport carriers will require the signature of an adult for the shipment of wine to be dropped off.
If you wine is to be delivered to your home, arrangements should be made with the carrier so that an adult can be home to accept the delivery. Otherwise, you may need to go to the transport facility to pick up the package of wine.
âWe donât want the wine to fall into the wrong hands, such as those of underage kids,â said Mr Farrell. âWe are holding licensed liquor transporters strictly accountable to ensure that any such delivery of wine is accepted and signed for by a responsible adult, aged 21 or older. If wine is merely dropped off at a home or office without being signed for by an adult, we want to hear about it, because that is a violation of Connecticutâs liquor laws.â
