Holiday Shopping At IAIS

WASHINGTON — Weekends through December 23, The Institute for American Indian Studies will have its Annual Indian Market open.

Native American vendors will be selling their handmade crafts, including decorated and painted gourds, talking sticks, decorative fans, stone and beaded jewelry, dolls, dream catchers, sun catchers, rattles, turtle bags, beaded purses and barrettes, baskets, pottery, holiday ornaments, and more.

Indian Market Hours are Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm; and Sunday, noon to 4 pm.

Also in December the museum’s gift shop will have beautiful and unusual gifts for the holidays and all other occasions, all with a ten percent discount (museum members receive 20 percent savings).
