Newtown police said Southbury police charged James Gardner, 45, of Southbury December 7 on a Newtown arrest warrant listing charges of third-degree larceny and issuing a bad check in connection with a past incident involving a Newtown plant nursery.

Southbury police turned over Gardner to Newtown police, who held him on a $4,500 bond for an appearance later that day in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.

Driving Incident

Police said they charged Ryan Miller, 21, of Danbury December 6 on charges of reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension in connection with an incident on Sugar Street.

Police released Miller on a $50 bond for a December 20 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
