$2 Million Gift From Praxair
DANBURY â Danbury Hospital has announced the naming of the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital recognizing a $2 million gift by Praxair Inc. This gift will assist the hospital in improving its facilities, programs and services for people with cancer and their families.
H. William Lichtenberger, chairman and CEO of Praxair Inc., said, âDanbury Hospital has been a great resource for the region for many years, and the cancer services team has contributed greatly to the health and well-being of this community and its neighbors. Praxair is honored to be able to play a key role in helping Danbury Hospital provide the best possible services in the ongoing battle against cancer.â

The Praxair donation reflects a strong civic awareness and a demonstrated corporate concern for the residents of Greater Danbury, according to Gerard D. Robilotti, executive vice president, Danbury Health Systems, and president of the Danbury Hospital Development Fund Inc. âThis outstanding gift will provide significant assistance toward the realization of Danbury Hospitalâs plans for further progress in the field of oncology,â he said.
