‘Celebrate The Holiday Spirit,’ With Waterbury Chorale

The Waterbury Chorale, under the direction of Maestro Joseph Jacovino and accompanied by Susan Anthony-Klein, will offer two performances of “Celebrate the Holiday Spirit.”

The program includes many holiday and spiritual songs of the season. Selections include “Ecce Novum” by Ola Gjeilo, “Light One Candle” by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary fame, “Magnificat” by Kevin A. Memley, and an audience sing-along. The Chorale will also be accompanied by the Waterbury Chorale Brass and Percussion Ensemble.

Newtown residents singing in this concert are Anita Corbeil, Dana Demand, Dea Herring, Elizabeth Johnston-O’Connor and Lisa Marcy.

The performances are planned at St Michael’s Episcopal Church in Litchfield on Friday, December 13, at 7:30 pm; and at St John’s Episcopal Church, on the green in Waterbury, on Sunday, December 15, at 4 pm.

Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at waterburychorale.org, from chorale members, or by calling 860-945-6890.
