Thomas J. Dalton, 70, of Stratford, died peacefully in Milford Hospital December 4, surrounded by his family, after a long illness. He was born May 8, 1943, in Bridgeport, son of Julia (Forde) and William Dalton, Sr, and had been a lifetime area resident.

One sister, Sheila Eckenrode and husband, Robert, of Newtown; a brother, William Dalton, Jr of Bridgeport; three children, George Dalton, Sr, and wife, Bridget, of Terryville, Pamela Dalton of Stratford, and Kelly Ryder and husband, Gene, of Stratford; four grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and several cousins survive Mr Dalton. A sister, Maureen, predeceased him.

He was retired from Metpath and Park City Hospital and was an avid sports fan, particularly the New York Yankees and Jets. Mr Dalton enjoyed music, especially from the 1950s and loved listening to his radio shows.

The family would like to thank Dr Toumanian and the staff of Milford Hospital ICU for their great care and compassion.

Funeral service took place December 7. Internment was in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
