Grace OâReilly
Grace (Gig) OâReilly passed away in Morgan Hill, Calif., on December 2. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Brendan OâReilly.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Patricia and Thomas Larkin of Hollister, Calif.; three granddaughters, Tara Larkin of Hollister, Calif., Seana Larkin of San Francisco, Calif., and Monica Larkin of Boston, Mass; a grandson, C. Andre Middlbrook of Hollister; three great-grandsons, Stoshu Nabozny of Hollister, Skylar Woodies of San Francisco, and Ian Grant of Hollister; two great granddaughters, Rosemary Larkin of Hollister, Calif., and Hazel-Rue Woodies of San Francisco, Calif.; and a brother-in-law, Father Louis OâReilly of Bolivia, South America.
Mrs OâReilly moved to South County in 1984 with her daughter and her family from Connecticut. Her family was among the first settlers in Connecticut, arriving in 1629 from England. The Middlebrook families were all physicians in Long Hill. Their homestead is called Stepping Stones and is still occupied. The Middlebrooksâ first residence was the Toll House on Route 25 in Long Hill. She was born in Stepping Stone and attended schools in Long Hill. She loved horses and cats. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Graveside services will be held in Newtown. A Memorial Mass will be held in Hollister, Calif., on Saturday, December 9, at noon at the Immaculate Conception Church, Tres Pinos. A reception will follow at the church hall.
