More Abortion Data

To The Editor:

As a follow-up to Brendan Duffy’s enlightening letter, “Abortion On Demand For Any Reason” (letter Hive, 11/14), I would like to propose two questions. (And provide the answers.)

#1. What is the #1 cause of death in  our country? Heart  disease? Cancer? Not even close. The answer is: abortion, well above these two usual answers combined. Abortions cause more than one third of all the deaths in America!

#2. Who pays for all these abortions? The mothers at $400 per death? The answer is: the mothers pay approximately $400 per ($400 million a year), but we pay almost as much. Planned Parenthood alone (250,000 victims per year) receives more than $330 million of federal funds — our tax money. So we are paying PP about $1,300 for every baby they kill. What do you think about that?

And if President-elect Obama signs the FOCA bill into law, we will be paying for all the “Abortions On Demand For Any Reason.” We are nearing the bottom of the “slippery slope.”
