Concert This Weekend

The Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta and currently in its seventeenth year, will present Vivaldi’s Gloria on Saturday, December 6, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown.

Also on the program will be music from the movies by John Williams, including Home Alone and Empire of the Sun.

The choir will also be singing P.D.Q. Bach’s Good King Kong Looked Out, complete with kazoo interlude.

The concert will conclude with an audience carol sing-along.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages 12 and under. They will be available at the door.
