Alvin H. Katz
Alvin H. Katz, 84, of Wycliffe in West Palm Beach, Fla., died November 21. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., January 6, 1933, one of four sons (Lenny, Rudy, and Bert) ofÃÂ Jenny and WilliamÃÂ Katz.
His companion of 18 years, Eileen Lefari; his children and spouses, Wendy and Marco Verga of Newtown, Lori and Rich Epstein of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Ron Katz of New Port Richey, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Scott and his wife, Anjali, Shana, Jared, Justin, Rachele, Joseph, and Kayla; and one great-grandchild survive Mr Katz.
He was a loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A tremendously successful executive in the apparel industry, he retired at age 52. Mr Katz lived his life like one of his favorite singers sang, "My Way." He loved his family and friends unconditionally.
His family wants everyone to know that he will remain loved by and in the hearts of all who knew him as someone who lived his life with class and great joy.
"We love you dad and may G-D always have his arms wrapped around you. RIP, Dad."
A private celebration of his life will take place at a future date.
