To the Editor:

The C.H. Booth Turkey Trot Committee would like to acknowledge the generosity of the many or-ganizations and individuals that contributed to making the 2015 event the biggest and best effort to date.  Because of their gifts of time and treasure, a record 1,500 runners and walkers plus their own cheering sections enjoyed a healthy and fun start to their Thanksgiving holiday. The proceeds from our sponsors, donors, and race registrants all combined to provide an important source of revenue to our beloved library.

We thank the Board of Education for the use of the Middle School and the Hawley School. The Police Department, as always, ensured the public's safety. The Library staff provided consistent support throughout the planning and execution of the event.

We also recognize our sponsors, many of which were new to the event this year and some which have been supporters since the race’s inception six years ago: Newtown Savings Bank, The Newtown Bee,  Caldwell & Walsh, the C.H. Booth Board of Trustees,  ABC Sign Company, Collins & Hannafin, Dental Associates of Connecticut, Edward Jones/Bryan Roth, Ingersoll Auto, Leahy’s Fuels, Nancy Cole De-sign, Newtown Youth Academy, Rand-Whitney, The Network Support Company, Vein Institute, Asso-ciated Refuse Haulers, Butcher’s Best, Caraluzzi’s, Church Hill Physical Therapy, Clavette & Co. CPA, Core Fitness Health Club, Floral Design by Melissa, Fraser Woods Montessori School, Hollandia Nurseries, Holy Cow Ice Cream Shop, Norbert E. Mitchell Co., Savings Bank of Danbury, Sippin Energy Products, Suzanne Knox DDS, and TR-Paul.

Finally, we salute the many volunteers who joined forces to execute this multi-faceted event. Simply put, we could not have done this without you.
