RIDGEFIELD — The December meeting of the Genealogy Club of Newtown will double as the club’s annual Christmas party. The meeting and party will be held on Sunday, December 7, at Ridgefield Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road in Ridgefield. All are welcome.

The meeting’s theme will be “Genealogy Ideas For Fun Holiday Activities.” There will be free raffle tickets to all members, and additional tickets may be purchased for extra chances to win. The special grand prize is a one-year year membership to New England Historic Genealogical Society. Everyone attending will go home with a free gift, and of course, there will be plenty of refreshments and conversations with friends.

The meeting will begin at 1:30 and all are welcome to attend. Watch for green and white balloons to mark the building.

The club will return next month to its regular meeting location next month. Newtown Genealogy Club regularly meets at C.H. Booth Library in Newtown, on the second Wednesday of each month, September through June.
