Social Services Says Thanks
Social Services Says Thanks
The following letter to Mandy Monaco and Cyndy DaSilva of Women in Newtown has been received for publication.
Dear Mandy & Cyndy:
The energy and enthusiasm of your organization was evident last Friday night as you and your volunteers pulled off another successful Thanksgiving basket distribution. Working along with you, we were able to provide food and groceries for 84 families in Newtown.
This Thanksgiving project is a lengthy one that requires much organization, coordination, and follow-up. The members of WIN are skilled in all these areas, making the process a smooth one. It is a pleasure to work with your group each year.
We at Social Services would like to thank the members of WIN and the volunteers young and old who sorted food, loaded cars for pickup, and made home deliveries. We would also like to thank John Voket from The Newtown Bee who came to take photos and ended up participating in the hard work.
We look forward to our next project with your organization.
Very truly yours,
Ann Piccini, Director
